Busy Summer Days

I apologize for this post not being my ‘Birth Story Part 2’ post. I am working on it now, but I wanted to post a quick life update today.

It has been gorgeous out recently, so I have been out and about with the boys everyday to enjoy the sun and to see friends. During the week, we went to the beach, a petting zoo, a play ground, etc.. My husband had to work all weekend so I took the boys to a water park, a friend’s house for a nice pool day, and we also had our pool set up in our yard. From all the activities and lots of sun (and trying to take two toddlers out to an outdoor activity is exhausting), I have been tired and honestly haven’t sat in front of the computer for a while.

It’s neat to see our boys experience new things now that they are a bit older. I discovered they love water. I am so glad we have a kid’s pool for at home now! I have also really noticed their personality difference recently. T is more cautious in a new environment; he gets nervous on the sand on the beach, and he hated walking to the water. M, on the other hand, would not stop running on sand or rock if we didn’t hold his hand! He is not afraid of new things. He goes to touch ocean water, and then casually wades in up to his waist without issue. At the water park too, he ran around discovering the place in no time. T, on the other hand, had to be held the whole time. It’s not that he does not like water, he just wasn’t sure about the place. I feel incredibly fortunate to be able to see them grow and establish these personality traits each day.

I update pictures daily on my Instagram if you want to see our life in between blog updates, check it out here.

I hope everyone is enjoying some nice, beautiful Summer days (or Wonderful Winter in the Southern hemisphere), and I will update the last part of my Birth Story sometime this week.

As always, thank you for reading!
